Sonam Kapoor: The Masakali Girl Turned Fashionista

Sonam Kapoor is indeed the masakali girl who has traversed the path to success with aplomb. Despite the fact that her debut flick Saawariya failed to create a roar at the box office the gal has managed to sustain herself in the industry with quite a lot of positive attitude.

Sonam had been almost labeled as the gal with the traditional touch in the industry, what with her debut film having her portray the typical Hindi film heroine with the traditional attire and an ethnic background and her second movie Delhi 6, having her in a typical salwar kameez clad role. However, this movie was also quite a transition for her as she also had a hep look with high street fashion garments sported by her in the second half.

Sonam Kapoor broke the mould to emerge as a true blue modern chic with the KJO flick I Hate Love Storys, where she was seen in the most modern attire with designer labels et al.

The actual transition of image for Sonam was of course with the movie Aisha, where she made a splash with her on screen persona and stylish attitude with the most happening wardrobe and a great positive attitude which literally made her one of the most happening fashionistas of B town.

These days Sonam has been seen in the most stylish of ensembles, be it at film premieres, events, or magazine covers or high end chat shows on the telly. Amazingly, Sonam has also been labeled as the hot pin up gal due to her appearance on magazine covers almost every month!

Well, we do hope to see a lot of the star in the coming months. Reportedly, her role in Pankaj Kapoor’s Mausam, co-starring Shahid Kapoor will see her in a series of different attires as her role in the movie will see her ageing from a young girl to an old woman. So get ready to see the fashionista at her best in the coming year.

Yana Gupta Offered Rs 1 Crore For Naked Shoot

India’s item girls does not need to go a long way to grab attention now. Yana Gupta has made the hard work easier for them. Yana is now reportedly being offered a whopping one crore deal by a foreign magazine. The offer, if accepted, will make Yana shed all her clothes, and be the USP of that edition of the magazine.

A British magazine has made the offer to Yana it appears. The item girl, who could not become an established actress in Bollywood so far, seems did just a small act to gain the much wanted attention. Recently, at none other than a charity event, the lady went without her panties. She not just missed her panties, but also wore a short mini dress, becoming the eye candy for many a camera men and audience.

To make matters more candid, Yana had back then stated that now she could be the brand ambassador for a underwear company. We are sure that the lady must have been approached by some big names of the industry. And now, it is her other clothes which have raised offers… not to be worn, but to be thrown away!

Anushka Sharma: All Set To Rule At The Box Office With 'Band Baaja Baaraat'

Anushka Sharma shot to instant fame and stardom with her debut film under the Yash Raj banner Rab De Bana Di Jodi. She managed to cat catch the attention of the viewers as well as critics despite being cast opposite Shahrukh Khan. Anuksha's next film was with Shahid Kapoor Badmaash Company which was produced by YRF. It sank at the box office without any trace. However, Anushka seem to gearing up for the latest release from the Yash Raj Banner Band Baaja Baaraat. News were doing the rounds that Anushka had a three film deal with Yash Raj Films. However, Anushka made it clear to the media that there was no three film contract with the YRF. In an interview Anushka clarifies that she had signed Nikhil Advani’s Patiala House with Akshay much before Band Baja Baaraat, though Band Baaja Baaraat is releasing earlier”.

Anushka plays the role of a middle class girl, Shruti Kakkar who is a marriage planner in the movie and hails from Delhi. Ranveer Singh plays her love interest in the film.

Anushka added that playing the part required intensive preparation for the role as she had to adapt the dressing style and the mannerisms of a typical Delhite. Special attention was also given to styling. The look of the film is casual and Anushka follows street fashion to get it all right.

Anushka is looking forward to work with other stars and she is happy with the way her career is shaping up as she added that she loves her space and it feels great that she can pick and choose her roles.

Hrithik back with Priyanka in ‘Krissh 3’

The entire buzz about Krissh 3 was right, the movie will roll early next year and Priyanka Chopra will be seen opposite Hrithik Roshan once again. Though there were rumours that the actress is not being considered for the sequel, reports are on that Priyanka is finalized for the film. She will continue her character of a reporter as the movie will take forward the story where Krissh left. Roshans were toying with the idea of Krissh sequel for the last four years but nothing concrete happened. Now, as they have moved on from the debacle of Kites, making Krissh 3 is prime on their plans.

Coming to Priyanka, the actress has some big films lined up for next year: she has Saat Khoon Maaf with seven male co-stars, Don 2 with Shahrukh Khan, and also Anurag Basu’s romantic thriller Barfee (earlier titled Silence) with Ranbir Kapoor.
